02 — Supply mechanics

Fixed at deployment, reduced only by burns

The BG contract has no mint function and its ownership is renounced, so the 10,000 units created at deployment can only be reduced, by burning them. Each burn is permanent and visible on-chain.

03 — Supply register

Ten thousand units, each one accounted for

One mark per unit, read live from the contract, reading left to right: gold is freely held, blue is locked in the clanker mines, white sits in liquidity pools, and the red edge has been burned and can never come back — with the last day’s burns picked out in orange at the very end.

04 — Burn mechanisms

Six ways BG is burned

Every mechanism executes on-chain and can be checked on Base. A burn either sends BG to the burn address or destroys it through the token’s burn function, which lowers total supply directly. Opening a mine uses the burn function.

01Voluntary

Holder burns

Any holder can retire units from their own balance through the burn interface. Irreversible, permissionless, immediately reflected in total supply.

02Autonomous

MineSwap buyback

Exchange revenue is routed into open-market BG purchases, which are then burned.

030.10 BG

Plot issuance

Each ERC-721 mine plot is minted against 0.10 BG, which is burned in full at the moment of purchase: total supply falls by 0.10 BG.

04100% burn

In-app spend

Every unit spent in the mine shop is burned in full. No treasury capture, no recycling back into circulation.

05ETH buyback

InstantBurn treasury

ETH paid for in-game structures reaches the InstantBurn contract, which market-buys BG and burns it.

06By vote

Council resolutions

The Golden Council can vote on protocol burns from treasury holdings. Votes are cast gasless on Snapshot, and the team carries out the result.

Six mechanisms, and each one permanently removes BG from circulation. A holder, a trader or a player triggers each of them alone. There is no mint function, so total supply can only fall, through burns.

05 — Markets & routing

One router, every venue

MineSwap is BaseGold’s trading product: a five-contract DEX aggregator that routes across Uniswap V2 and V3, Aerodrome and the rest of the Base liquidity map, and feeds the buyback-and-burn engine from a 0.15% fee on the input token (pool fees and network gas are additional).

Listings & data partners

BG is tracked by the major aggregators, with price pages, verified charts and enhanced token profiles.

06 — The mine

Collect a mine, play the season

A plot is an ERC‑721 NFT on Base, minted against 0.10 BG, with on-chain metadata that changes as the plot is worked. Everything spent inside it — shop upgrades, barracks, raids — is paid in BG and burned in full. Three seasons have run, and season 3 is live.

01 Mint 0.10 BG

One plot, held as an ERC‑721 on Base, with on-chain metadata that changes as you work it.

02 Work it 100% burned

Shop upgrades and barracks are paid in BG, and every unit spent is burned in full. None of it returns to circulation.

03 Defend it Season 3

Raids and defence run between mine holders, and plots carry across seasons.

07 — Applications

09 — Governance & disclosure

The Golden Council

A holding of one BG admits a member. The Council votes on MineSwap fee ratios, burn scheduling, treasury disbursement and protocol direction. Votes are cast gasless on Snapshot, and the team carries out the result.

10 — Delivery schedule

What is shipped, and what is next

Phase 1 Complete

Issuance

Contract deployed on Base: 10,000 units, no mint function. Liquidity across ten venues. MiCA white paper published as a pre-notification draft. DEX Screener and CoinMarketCap listings.

Phase 2 Live

Exchange and Mine

MineSwap fills one order across every BG venue and burns from every trade. The Mine’s ERC‑721 plots, shop and War seasons burn 100% of in-game BG. Golden Council voting open to any holder.

Phase 3 Final audit

Immutable burn hub

MineSwap v2. Every pool realises its protocol share inside the swap: on BG pairs it burns in the same transaction; ETH and USDC pairs forward it to the immutable fee vault, where a self-funding Furnace converts it to BG and burns 99%. No owner, no upgrade path, no fee switch, no keeper key.

Phase 4 Final audit

Launchpad and Divi Protocol

A planned token launchpad on Base, and the Divi Protocol, a planned optional distribution mechanism for launched tokens. Both are in development and not released; no terms, rates or dates have been set, and details may change.

11 — Questions

Answered plainly

What is BaseGold?

BaseGold is a digital collectible ecosystem on Base: NFT mines and games, a fixed-supply token, and trading products such as MineSwap, built by developers and traders. BG is the fixed-supply token and in-game currency, with 10,000 units, no mint function and renounced ownership. MineSwap is a trading product whose protocol fee buys and burns BG, and The Mine burns every unit spent on plots, upgrades and War.

How is BG acquired?

Through any Base-network venue listed above, or through MineSwap, which routes across all of them. An EVM wallet holding ETH on Base is required for settlement.

What does a gold mine cost?

A plot is minted against 0.10 BG and held as an ERC‑721 on Base, with on-chain metadata that changes as the plot is worked. Three seasons have run and season 3 is live at Gold Mines.

What does owning a mine do?

A mine is an ERC‑721 NFT that gives access to The Mine, the game. BG is spent inside it: shop upgrades and barracks are paid in BG and burned in full, raids and defence run between mine holders, and plots carry across seasons. BG spent in the game is burned rather than recycled, and so is the 0.10 BG it takes to open a mine.

What guarantees the supply cap?

The contract contains no mint function and is not upgradeable. Ten thousand units were created once at deployment; the only permitted change to total supply is downward, through burns. Source code is verified and readable on BaseScan.

How fast and how costly is a BG transfer?

BG transfers settle on Base in about one second, at a cost below one cent. An EVM wallet holding ETH on Base is required for settlement.

Who controls the protocol?

No party can move, freeze or dilute holder balances. Parameters that remain adjustable — exchange fee ratios, burn scheduling, treasury disbursement — are decided by Golden Council vote, open to any holder of one BG or more.

What is the immutable burn hub?

MineSwap v2. Each pool takes its 0.15% protocol share inside the swap and, on BG pairs, sends it to the burn address in the same transaction. Pools quoted in ETH or USDC forward their share to an immutable fee vault, where a self-funding Furnace converts it to BG and burns 99%. There is no owner, no upgrade path and no fee switch, so the burn cannot be turned off.

What does the launchpad do?

A planned way to launch tokens on Base, quoted in BG. It is in development and not released; no terms, rates or dates have been set, and details may change.

What is the Divi Protocol?

A planned optional distribution mechanism for launched tokens. It is in development and not released; no terms, rates or dates have been set, and details may change.

Is BaseGold backed by physical gold?

No. BG is not a stablecoin, is not pegged and holds no claim on physical metal. BG trades in liquidity pairs against other crypto-assets, and its price is set by those markets alone.

What are the principal risks?

Price volatility, market and liquidity risk, smart-contract risk, and dependence on the Base network. BG is not covered by EU investor-compensation or deposit-guarantee schemes and you could lose everything you spend. The white paper states the risk factors in full.
